Ms. Fortunata Temu is the visionary founder and Managing Director of Viva Legacy (T) Limited, a training and consultancy company offering services in project development and management; organizational development; soft skills training, capacity building, policy analysis and advocacy; conferences and event management. She has skills in institutional assessments and analysis; training designing and facilitation; gender mainstreaming including conducting gender audits and designing gender mainstreaming tools and strategies; Policy analysis; research; presentation skills and report writing.

Ms. Temu has over 15-year experience of working in different capacities as a consultant, legal practitioner, facilitator and trainer, researcher, advisor and manager. Her experience ranges across different sectors, having worked with the government of Tanzania as a Senior Resident Magistrate in the Judiciary Department and Senior Legal Officer in the then Ministry of Community Development Gender and Children; Programme Analyst (governance programmes) and Advisor in Gender and Human Rights at the UNDP; Head of Governance Programme at the Oxfam GB, Programme Specialist – UN Reforms at the UNIFEM and Senior Advisor with UN Women.

An Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, Ms. Temu holds an LLB degree from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, an MA degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies (ISS) – The Hague, in the Netherlands and postgraduate certificates in Law and Management from the International Development Law Institute in Rome, Italy & CENTEC at Lulea Technical University in Sweden. #
