Snapshot. Mr. Juma Rajabu joined the Institute in 2010 and since then he has been serving in the Transport Unit as driver. He has 26-year experience in driving. Mr. Rajabu is a National Institute of Transport (NIT) graduate with a class C driving license. He served in a project for three years. After that, he was transferred to the Transport Unit in 2014 where he is serving to date.

Background & Education. Mr. Juma Rajabu joined the Institute in 2010. He holds a Primary School Education Certificate he obtained from Dar es Salaam’s Mbuyuni Primary in 1985. He then joined Bagamoyo-based Kaole Secondary School where he studied until the Form Two level. He was forced to cut his secondary studies short due to family problems.

Professional Experience and Skills. Mr. Rajabu started his driving career in 1993 in Dar es Salaam where he was employed as a family driver. He obtained formal driving classes in 2014 at the National Institute of Transport (NIT) where he graduated and qualified for a Class C driving license. He then upgraded his skills to obtain C1-3 classes.

Previously, before starting his driving career, in 1988/89 he joined then National Vocational and Training Center (NVTC) – now Vocational Education and Training Center (Veta) – where graduated a Filter Mechanics Grade III.

Projects/units Involved In. When he joined IHI in January 2010, he started off as an Ines project driver where he served for three years. He was then transferred to the Transport Unit at Dar es Salaam Office where is has been serving from 2014 to date. #
