Transport Manager

Mr. Kamilus Masonda works at IHI as Transport Manager; he is a Diploma holder in International Logistics and Transport Management from Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport CILT- UK. He joined IHI in July 2015 bringing in unique and broad work experience in Transport field after working in various and reputable  International Organizations  such as  International Rescue Committee (IRC),  US. Peace Corps Mission, and Save the Children International. Working as head of Transport Unit, he has done significant change in the Institute. With his vast knowledge and experience in Automotive Engineering, he has proven good performance in terms of competence and professionalism. The unit became an integral part of the Institute; the unit operates smoothly and in coordinated manner. Mr. Kamilus Masonda is managing the entire fleet of the institute and his core responsibilities include online fleet management, field transport arrangements, oversees revenue generation, staff management and services and maintenance of fleet. After joining with IHI, under his leadership transport Unit has shown significant changes in fleet operations, relationship to transport stake holders and transport cost reduction through improved fuel controls and fleet Service and maintenance. Mr. Kamilus is a person who accepts challenges in a positive way and flexible to learn new things, his positive altitude helped him to cope with IHI culture and operations style of the Institute.
