Martin Mfikwa

Chief Finance Officer

Mr Martin Mfikwa is the IHI Chief Finance Officer. He is an experienced finance director with the high degree of integrity and very strong accounting and financial management knowledge. He is an MBA graduate from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom. Mr Mfikwa is also a registered member of Tanzania National Board of Accountants and Auditors in the category of Associate Certified Public Accountant.

With more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, Mr Mfikwa oversees the Institute’s budget, implement, and monitor all finance and accounting processes, policies, systems, assets and records. He is also charged with the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, procurement and stores management.

Before joining IHI, Mr Mfikwa worked with several renowned international companies and NGOs such as CARE International, where he was the Director of Finance. In addition to his experience, Martin attended a number of international on-the-job training.
