Visitors attending the 2026 National Farmers' Day (Nane Nane) Exhibition in Morogoro are being encouraged to take advantage of free health screening services offered by the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI), helping them better understand their health and seek early care when needed.

Through its participation in this year's exhibition, Ifakara has expanded the range of health services available at its booth. The services are being provided by specialists from the Chronic Diseases Clinic of Ifakara (CDCI), the Heart and Lung Research Programme, and the Institute's Laboratory team.

Visitors can access free blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, HIV testing and counselling, malaria testing, electrocardiogram (ECG) services, as well as consultations on heart health, lung health and diabetes. Health professionals are also providing advice on healthy lifestyles and the importance of regular medical check-ups.

Many non-communicable diseases, including hypertension and diabetes, often develop without noticeable symptoms. Regular health screening can help detect these conditions early, allowing people to receive timely treatment and reduce the risk of serious complications.
