Recruitment scams

This is an important notice to the public in view of recently observed increase in fraudulent communication made to members of the public, by persons and groups falsely claiming to be acting on behalf of, or pretending to be employees of the Ifakara Health Institute.

These persons and groups lure unsuspecting members of the public into parting with money by making fake offers of employment from our Institute. In some cases, they use non-IHI email accounts and ask job seekers to pay money for employment.

We wish to notify the public that IHI does not request monetary payments from applicants at any stage of recruitment. Individuals who are interested in opportunities at IHI will find open vacancies listed in the IHI recruitment portal and on the Institute website https://www.ihi.or.tz/ when available.

IHI does not make use of employment forms, nor process CVs that have not been submitted directly through our recruitment portal.

All successful applicants receive an offer of employment from IHI through a formal and transparent recruitment process. Members of the public are hereby notified that any communication offering interviews or immediate employment and requesting payment at any point is fraudulent.

Anyone who receives these false solicitations is strongly advised to disregard them. Ifakara Health Institute will not accept liability in any manner whatsoever for any situation arising from engagement with unauthorized persons or groups.
