Position Summary Ifakara Health Institute seeks a Research Officer for the Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) Dar es Salaam Node.  The role involves conducting literature reviews, data searches, and extracting metrics for modeling, as well as managing and analyzing datasets using tools like Excel, ArcGIS/QGIS, STATA, R, and Python. The Research Officer will follow data protocols, promote best practices, maintain IT systems, document procedures, and ensure safety by assessing hazards and reporting incidents, while adhering to institutional policies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, data/computer science/engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline, along with strong computer, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving
