Mr. Fredrick Masanja is the Branch Manager for the Ifakara branch of Ifakara Health Institute, a position he has held since his appointment in July 2012. He joined the Institute in August 2011 as a Project Administrator for the CONNECT Project before being appointed Branch Manager the following year

He holds a Master of Business in International Health Management (MBA-IHM) from the University of Basel and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Switzerland. Additionally, he has a background in Law from the Open University of Tanzania. 

With extensive experience in administration and management, Mr. Masanja previously worked for the Embassy of Switzerland/Swiss Cooperation Office Tanzania for nearly a decade, from May 2001 to December 2010, serving as Head of Administration. He possesses a high level of integrity with different stakeholders that he works with within and outside the institute. As Branch Manager, he oversees the daily operations of the Ifakara branch, supports research activities to ensure the smooth functioning of IHI’s core business, and plays a key role in supporting the Ifakara Cluster member institutions in the coordination of meetings for the reformation of the Ifakara Cluster.
