TRAINING: Short course on health impact assessment of large infrastructure projects

Ifakara Health Institute's Health Impact Assessment for Sustainable Development (HIA4SD) project plans to host a short course on health impact assessment of large infrastructure projects. Experts from Ifakara, Tanzania; the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), Switzerland; and and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (Muhas), will facilitate the course.

Lead facilitators are: Dr. Isaac Lyatuu – a public health researcher with expertise in data science and health impact assessment from Ifakara; Dr. Mirko Winkler – an international expert in health impact assessment practice, research and training from Swiss TPH; and Prof. Simon Mamuya - senior lecturer at Muhas Department of Environment and Population Health.

The course is designed for environmental or social health experts/trainers and will be held at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (Muhas) in Dar es Salaam for three days from June 14-16, 2022. Only 15 seats are available, so be sure to apply by May 15, 2022.
