From January 29th to February 2nd, 2024, Ifakara Health Institute, St. Francis Referral Hospital, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, the University Hospital of Basel, and the Medical Council of Tanganyika will collaborate to host a 5-day Course in vascular ultrasound and surgery at St. Francis Regional Referral Hospital in Ifakara.

Organized by Dr. Andrew Katende and Dr. Martin Rohacek from the Heart and Lung Clinic run by Ifakara and partners, this event will feature guidance from experts such as Dr. Markus Aschwanden, an Angiologist at the University Hospital Basel, Switzerland, and Dr. Andrej Isaak, a Vascular Surgeon at Kanstonsspital Aarau, Switzerland.

With a limited number of available spots [15], the course ensures a comprehensive experience, providing hands-on practical sessions where participants will have access to an ultrasound machine.
