WORKSHOP: Ifakara, partners draw strategic plan for Arusha center
Ifakara Health Institute actively participated in a workshop to finalize the strategic plan and formulate a business plan for the Centre for Educational Development in Health Arusha (CEDHA) from February 20-23, 2024, in Arusha, Tanzania.
Organized by CEDHA in partnership with the World Health Organization, the workshop was attended by key stakeholders, including the guest of honor Dr. Charles Mahera, Deputy Secretary of the President’s Office - Regional Administration and Local Government, and members of the Ministry of Health.
The aim was to establish CEDHA as a center of excellence for providing management, leadership, and quality improvement courses, both within Tanzania and globally in order to enhance the management and leadership skills of health workers and elevate quality care at all levels.
Established in 1983, the Centre for Educational Development in Health Arusha (CEDHA) is a public tertiary technical institution operating under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children in the United Republic of Tanzania.
CEDHA plays a crucial role in supporting the healthcare system by fostering the development of human resources for health. Located at Sanawari area in Arusha City, CEDHA is fully registered and accredited by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
