On Wednesday July 10, 2024, the Ifakara Health Institute will be part of an interactive and insightful webinar exploring the critical role of community engagement in global health research and its significant impact on public health in East Africa.

This session will be moderated by Sheikha Mohamed, the Africa Regional Mesh Community Engagement Network Regional Coordinator, who also serves as a Community Engagement Coordinator at Ifakara. The webinar will feature prominent Ifakara scientists Dr. Fredros Okumu and Dr. Prosper Chaki. They will be joined by Ms. Naima Sykes, Imperial College London, and Ms. Noni Mumba from Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI

Participants will learn how meaningful partnerships with communities can lead to impactful research outcomes and influence public health policies and practices.
