Correction and Apology:

We have corrected an error in the original post regarding the gene editing course held at the University of Dar es Salaam. It was inaccurately stated in that post that the course was facilitated by Dr. Brian Tarimo from the Ifakara Health Institute. In fact, Dr. Tarimo co-instructed the course. The course’s facilitator was Dr. Daniel Maeda from the University of Dar es Salaam, who was supported by Dr. Tarimo as the co-instructor and assisted by Dr. Juma Hussein, and Winnie Kimaro all from the University of Dar es Salaam.

The error was unintentional and we sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
