Today, the District Commissioner (DC) for Kilombero, Danstan Kyobya, alongside the Ifakara City Council Director, Zahara Michuzi, paid a visit to the Ifakara Health Institute's booth at the Farmer's Day Exhibition in Morogoro, where the Institute is showcasing its research work and innovations.

The two dignitaries, long-time supporters of the Institute, were given a general overview of the institute’s latest innovations and research activities. They had the opportunity to witness demonstrations on malaria testing and tools, received counseling on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and learned about the Ifakara Innovation Hub’s eco-friendly Pamoto Poa stove – just a few of the services on display.

Addressing the team, the DC reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Institute, commending its dedication to advancing public health through evidence-based research. Both leaders underscored the importance of fostering a healthier future through the integration of scientific innovations and community-centered health solutions.

The visit by these officials highlights the vital role that Ifakara Health Institute plays in improving health outcomes not just in the Kilombero region but across Tanzania and beyond. Their support strengthens the Institute’s commitment to continue delivering impactful health interventions to communities.
