On January 30, 2025, the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Task Team on Climate Change, Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), and Malaria will host a crucial webinar on the impact of climate change on malaria and NTDs. 

The session, scheduled from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM GMT, will be chaired by Dr. Samson Kiware, Senior Principal Research Scientist at Ifakara Health Institute. The discussion will bring together leading global health experts to explore the links between climate change and the shifting burden of these diseases.

The featured speakers include Dr. Alastair Robb, Global Malaria Programme, World Health Organization; Dr. Anthony Solomon, Chief Scientist, Global Neglected Tropical Diseases Programme, World Health Organization; Professor Deirdre Hollingsworth, Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, NDM Centre for Global Health Research, Big Data Institute (BDI), University of Oxford; and Dr. Petra Klepac, Global Health Modelling Consultant, World Health Organization. 

With climate change reshaping global disease patterns, this webinar will provide essential insights into how the global health community can adapt and respond.
