Kisumbo Elibariki Lyimo is a seasoned accountant with a rich background in financial management and project accounting. Currently serving as an Accounts Officer in the Project Accounting Unit at Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Kisumbo brings over a decade of experience to her role. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy, graduating in 2009, and is currently pursuing professional studies with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), aiming to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Throughout her career, Kisumbo has demonstrated exceptional competence and dedication in various accounting positions. Her journey began in 2011 when she joined Ifakara Health Institute's Treasury Unit as an Assistant Accountant, where she meticulously managed petty cash, prepared payment vouchers, and maintained accurate records of financial transactions. Her attention to detail and commitment to financial integrity led to her subsequent roles within the institute, including Revenue Accountant in the Management Accounting Unit and her current position as a Project Accountant.

In her role as a Project Accountant, Kisumbo plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and accountability of multiple projects undertaken by Ifakara Health Institute. Her responsibilities include preparing comprehensive project reports, providing monthly financial status updates to project leaders, and managing project budgets and expenditures. She collaborates closely with project leaders and management to review budgets, prepare billing statements, and support both external and internal audits.
