MoDD Africa is a collaborative African network that delivers model-based evidence, guidance, and forecasts to support public health decision-making for mosquito-borne diseases. The initiative currently focuses on Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Nigeria.
Its work includes assessing the effectiveness of health systems, evaluating the adaptability of public health decision-makers to emerging threats, monitoring the distribution and seasonality of key vectors to guide interventions, and optimizing the impact of interventions while generating early warning tools and robust evidence to inform policy and practice.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Samson Kiware thanked all participants for taking the time to engage in and contribute to the important discussions. He emphasized the significance of executing the project effectively to bring positive change to the communities each team serves.
