Ifakara Health Institute’s Dickson Lwetoijera will on 7 May 2026 deliver a webinar organized by Inserm (French National Institute for Health and Medical Research), focusing on work under the Transmission Zero Project, particularly how anopheles gambiae mosquitoes can be genetically modified to block the development of plasmodium falciparum within the mosquito.

The session will explore how this innovative approach could contribute to strengthening malaria elimination efforts at scale.
