St. Francis University College of Health and Allied Sciences (SFUCHAS), in collaboration with the Ifakara Cluster – including Ifakara Health Institute, St. Francis Regional Referral Hospital, SolidarMed, Good Samaritan Cancer Hospital, Ifakara Innovation Hub, and partners – will jointly host the 5th Annual Scientific Conference under the theme: "Generating Impact for SDG 3: Intersecting Research, Technology, and Community based health solutions."

Scheduled for June 24–25, 2026, in Ifakara, Tanzania, this conference will bring together students, researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to share evidence and solutions that advance public health in Tanzania and beyond. 

Conference focus, objectives

This important gathering will focus on how research, innovation, and community-driven approaches can accelerate progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

The SFUCHAS Annual Scientific Conference serves as a platform to share and discuss cutting-edge health research and innovations, strengthen collaboration between academia and health systems and promote evidence-based solutions to pressing health challenges.

Call for abstracts

As part of the conference, SFUCHAS and Ifakara Cluster invite researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community stakeholders to submit abstracts addressing key healthcare challenges. Submissions can be for oral or poster presentations, with the deadline set for June 7, 2026.
