Ifakara Health Institute Congratulations to Dr. Grace Magembe on your appointment as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Dr. Grace Magembe was appointed Permanent Secretary in Tanzania's Ministry of Health on 26 June 2026 by President Samia Suluhu Hassan as part of a wider reshuffle of senior government officials. She previously served as the country's Chief Medical Officer, a position she had held since January 2025.
