Ifakara Health Institute and National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) staff participated in an Orientation on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training held at the NIMR offices in Dar es Salaam from June 5-7, 2023. The training aimed to equip newly recruited staff from both institutions with GCP knowledge.

The three-day training was presided over by Prof. Said Aboud, the Director General of NIMR who also gave the opening remarks. Afterwards, Dr. Honorati Masanja, the Ifakara Chief Executive Director briefly outlined the training objectives. 

The workshop was attended by 15 people in total, with strong representation from both genders. Dr. Ruby Mcharo and Ndakibae Mabega from NIMR; Dr. Mwifadhi Mrisho from Ifakara and Dr. Hadija Malima from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) served as facilitators.
