Ifakara Health Institute and the University of Glasgow have organized a virtual masterclass session on malaria epidemiology and control. This event marks the 46th edition of the IFAKARA|GLASGOW MasterClasses.

Titled, “The GARKI Project - A MasterClass on the Epidemiology and Control of Malaria in the African Savanna” the session will take place on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, and will feature esteemed experts in malaria research Prof. Tom Smith from Swiss TPH and Prof. Gerry Killeen from the University College Cork (UCC) with affiliations to Ifakara Health Institute.

The event will be hosted by Dr. Fredros Okumu, a seasoned public health researcher and professor of vector biology.
