Additionally, Ifakara launched Phase II of its NEST360 Program in Tanzania's Kilimanjaro and extended to the Mwanza region for the first time. For the new phase Kilimanjaro will serve as a hub for neonatal care, with efforts focused on strengthening surrounding spoke facilities. During Phase I (2019–2023), NEST360 implemented evidence-based interventions that benefitted over 100,000 newborns annually across 68 hospitals in Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, and Nigeria.
