On January 31 2025, the Ifakara Health Institute brought together staff from its branches in Ifakara, Bagamoyo, Dar es Salaam, and other regions for a special team-building event under the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating Impact." This gathering aims to strengthen collaboration, foster teamwork, and set the stage for a productive year ahead.

In his opening remarks, Ifakara’s Chief Executive Director, Dr. Honorati Masanja, welcomed participants and emphasized the significance of the event, noting that it comes at a perfect time as the institute embarks on a new year of impactful work. He expressed gratitude to all staff members for their dedication and commitment, underscoring the importance of unity in driving Ifakara’s mission forward.

The team-building activities provide an opportunity for staff to engage, share ideas, and reinforce the collaborative spirit that defines Ifakara’s approach to public health and research. 

Through interactive sessions, games, and discussions, the event strengthened bonds between colleagues from different locations, reaffirming the institute’s shared vision of improving health outcomes.

As the day unfolded, participants embraced the theme, recognizing that by connecting minds, they could indeed create greater impact in their research, innovation, and public health initiatives. The event not only set a positive tone for the year but also reinforced IHI’s commitment to teamwork and excellence in health research and implementation.
