Ifakara Health Institute has been featured in a news story published by The Sun, one of the UK’s largest news outlets, highlighting the Institute’s cutting-edge research in the long-standing fight against malaria.

In partnership with Malaria No More - a charity dedicated to ending malaria within our generation – the British tabloid visited Ifakara labs recently to showcase Tanzania’s frontline role in the global fight against malaria. The piece, written by health journalist Isabel Shaw.

The feature explores how Ifakara scientists are using world-class entomology labs and innovation hubs to take on one of the world’s deadliest diseases—malaria.

Accompanied by powerful visuals and a video segment, the article captures the tireless efforts of Tanzanian researchers as they work with genetically modified mosquitoes, trap designs, and groundbreaking surveillance technologies to tackle transmission and save lives.
