Clinical Officer (1 post) - CDCI, Ifakara

The Clinical Officer's duties will include assessing, diagnosing, treating, and overseeing the care of patients with HIV or TB at both the in-and out-patient facilities at SFRH.

Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute seeks a qualified and experienced Clinical Officer. The individual will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with HIV or Tuberculosis in the in-and out-patient facilities within St. Francis Referral Hospital (SFRH) in Ifakara, Morogoro region. Additionally, the Clinical Officer will deliver improved services in collaboration with the hospital, governmental authorities, and health implementing partners. They will also take on the role of supervising and training younger colleagues in diagnostic processes and the management of patients. Furthermore, the Officer will also collaborate within the existing research platform of the Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort (KIULARCO) and also have the opportunity to develop their own research agenda and research project(s).

Qualification and Experience
Applicants must have a diploma in Medicine. They must also be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (or application should be in progress).
