Research Officer (2 posts) - CDCI, Ifakara

The Research Officer will evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage patients with HIV and/or Tuberculosis.

Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute seeks a qualified and experienced Research Officer who will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with HIV and/or Tuberculosis in the in- and outpatient facilities of St. Francis Referral Hospital (SFRH). The Officer will also deliver improved services in collaboration with the hospital, governmental authorities, and health implementing partners; supervise and train younger colleagues on diagnostic workup and management of patients. Additionally, the Officer will collaborate within the existing research platform of the Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort (KIULARCO) and develop their own research agenda and research project(s).

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have degree in Medicine and a Certificate of internship. They also must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (or application in progress).
