Position Summary

Ifakara Health Institute seeks a Senior Procurement and Supplies Manager who will manage the procurement processes and necessary supplies for health projects, scientific research, and health laboratory operations, all while ensuring strict adherence to regulations, quality standards, and budgetary constraints. 

The Senior Procurement and Supplies Manager will actively collaborate with the senior management team, finance department, program staff, other operational teams, and external stakeholders to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes. 

Additionally, they will oversee distribution management within logistics, which involves responsibilities such as managing transportation, warehousing, and monitoring the flow of goods and supplies in the regions where the organization operates.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants are required to hold a Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Logistics or Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics and Procurement, along with a Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. Certification from the relevant body is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a similar senior role within an organization of comparable scale and complexity.
