Position Summary

Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a Data Officer (Intern) to join the Vector Control and Product Testing Unit (VCPTU) in Bagamoyo. The successful candidate will support the management of high-quality data across laboratory and field-based studies. This includes overseeing data collection, entry, cleaning, analysis, storage, and security to ensure research integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.

He/she will also play a key role in developing and maintaining data systems, training field teams, conducting data quality audits, and supporting statistical analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field and atleast 2–3 years of experience in data management or monitoring & evaluation (M&E), preferably in the health, research, or development sectors
