Senior Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist (1 Post) - Dar

This role is responsible for ensuring that all maternal and newborn health (MNH) interventions are rigorously monitored, evaluated, and adapted in real time.

Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute is seeking an experienced Senior MEL Specialist who will serve as the strategic architect of the program's evidence and learning framework in Tanzania. The Senior MEL Specialist will bridge the gap between complex clinical data and high-level decision-making for both IHI and the Ministry of Health.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Statistics, Epidemiology, Population Sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of 5–10 years in a senior M&E role in global health programs. Experience in maternal and newborn health programs is preferred. A strong background in biostatistics or medical statistics with advanced quantitative skills is required.
