Dr. Ezekiel Luoga

Dr. Ezekiel Luoga is the Head of the Chronic Disease Clinic of Ifakara (CDCI). He started his career at St. Francis Referral Hospital as an intern and subsequently joined IHI, where he has actively participated in various clinical and research activities.
Dr. Luoga graduated with a degree in medicine from the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences in Uganda. He furthered his education and earned a Master of Science in Public Health from Suffolk University.
As a Research Scientist, Dr. Luoga is engaged in multiple clinical trials and a cohort study, serving as a co-principal investigator in various key projects. He has also played a key role in the "Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort (KIULARCO)" and the "Genotype-Informed Versus Empiric Management Of VirEmia (GIVE MOVE)" trial, where he holds the position of Country Principal Investigator for Tanzania sites.
He has plans for pursuing a Ph.D. and is an active member of the Tanganyika Medical Association (TMA).
