Alphonce Assenga is a dedicated Research Scientist specializing in entomology and environmental health. With over five years of experience, Alphonce has been actively involved in the study and control of mosquitoes, particularly those transmitting diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika, and malaria.
Alphonce's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with Wildlife Sciences and Conservation from the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a master's degree in biomedical and veterinary sciences at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the United States.
He has served as a Research Officer and entomologist on various projects. Currently, he serves as a project coordinator in the Vector Control Product Testing Unit at IHI.
