Dr. Petro Sabuni is a Clinical Coordinator and clinician in the Chronic Disease Clinic of Ifakara (CDCI), attending to in and outpatients with HIV and/or Tuberculosis. In this role, he oversees patient flow at the clinic and manages doctors' tasks.

He was trained at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Science in Bugando. He possesses valuable skills and experience in Emergency Medicine, holding Basic Emergency Care and Advanced Life Support certificates. 

He served as a clinician in the Emergency Department at Temeke RRH, where he assumed the role of Assistant Head of the department. He also actively contributed to the Dar es Salaam emergency preparedness team. 

Dr. Sabuni is currently involved in the TB-CAPT-EXULTANT Trial as a Study Doctor, a randomized controlled trial aiming to expand Xpert Ultra testing for TB diagnosis among HIV-positive patients admitted in Tanzania. Dr. Sabuni is a member of the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
