Research Scientist

Lujeko Ambonile Kamwela is a Research Scientist. His responsibilities span from being a Lab Technologist to a TB Lab Supervisor and Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the Bagamoyo TB lab. 

He holds a Master's degree in Science in Infection Biology from the University of Basel, Switzerland and Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Dar-es-Salaam (UDSM). 

Lujeko's professional journey as a Laboratory Scientist involves being a part of various impactful studies.He has contributed his expertise to studies such as the Evaluation of Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of the combination of moxifloxacin plus PA‐824 plus pyrazinamide, Phase 2 trials evaluating different treatment regimens for pulmonary tuberculosis, and a Phase 3, Open-Label Partially Randomized Trial.
