In 2020, Jackson Amani graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). Subsequently, he completed his internship at Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital under the Ministry of Health in 2021. Later on, he joined Amenye Health Training Institute as a Tutorial Assistant, facilitating key subjects in clinical Laboratory practice and Inventory Management.

In 2021/2022, Jackson gained exposure to the supply chain industry when he joined Lifeline Pharmaceuticals Company as a technical advisor and expert on laboratory and pharmaceutical supplies. In this role, he coordinated inspections of delivered goods and provided comments on technical specifications. Eventually, he was selected to be the Laboratory In-charge at Oli Hospital, where he organized daily laboratory activities and implemented inventory procedures, including vendor vetting and supplier contract management.

To further enhance his expertise in supply chain management and procurement, Jackson recently graduated and obtained a certificate in Procurement Management from the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA).

As a Full Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with five years of experience, Jackson has a strong background in managing laboratory and pharmaceutical supplies within hospital settings and research organizations. His experience also includes sales and marketing of medical supplies and technical expertise in inspecting medical products, ensuring compliance with cold chain management protocols throughout the supply chain, and employing negotiation skills during vendor vetting.

Jackson possesses extensive knowledge and experience in implementing Competence-based educational training (CBET) curricula, particularly in technical and vocational training institutions where laboratory personnel are trained.

Furthermore, he excels in medical diagnostics practices across various laboratory sections, including parasitology, hematology, clinical chemistry, blood transfusion, and molecular biology. His skill set also includes problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Jackson is a Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with Full Registration Number 5261 from the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council and a proud member of The Medical Laboratory Scientists Association of Tanzania (MeLSAT).

In his current role, Jackson collaborates with scientists, project leaders, laboratory managers, and project administrators to establish desired specifications for medical reagents, consumables, devices, and equipment before placing orders. He also follows up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchased items and inspects medical materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Additionally, he coordinates with national regulatory authority agencies (TMDA, GCLA, TBS, TRA) to obtain importation and exportation permits and manages customs clearance once international shipments arrive at both Dar Sea Port and JNI Airport.
