Ali Hamad Said is a medical doctor by profession, having graduated from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in 2008. Additionally, he holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College (KCMC), earned in 2017. His professional journey has been enriched by his tenure at the Ifakara Health Institute since 2009, where he has served in both Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea.
Throughout his career, Dr. Said has actively participated in numerous phase I-IV clinical trials conducted in Bagamoyo and Equatorial Guinea. Moreover, his contributions extend to epidemiological studies focusing on renal diseases in Bagamoyo and malaria incidence in Equatorial Guinea, where he assumed the role of Co-Principal Investigator.
Dr. Said's dedication to community engagement is evident through his involvement in various community engagement and sensitization meetings, particularly concerning vaccines. These initiatives often involved interacting with members of community advisory boards (CAB) and Bagamoyo District Authorities, fostering collaboration and understanding between research initiatives and local communities.
Furthermore, his commitment to professional standards is demonstrated by his membership in the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT), where he continues to contribute to the advancement of medical practices and ethical standards within the profession.
