Ms. Ritha Godfrey holds an advanced diploma in Social Protection from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) in 2010 and a Master's degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the Open University of Tanzania in 2020.
She joined Ifakara Health Institute in June 2014 and, prior to assuming her role as Senior Administrative Officer in 2017, she served as a Research Officer on three projects: the Non-pneumatic Anti-Shock Garment project, the mHealth project, and the Enhancing Training and Appropriate Technologies for Mothers and Babies in Africa project, all implemented at IHI from 2014 to 2016.
In her current capacity as Senior Administrative Officer, Ms. Ritha manages various projects within the Department of Health System Impact Evaluation and Policy.
With 8 years of experience coordinating diverse projects within the health system, Ms. Ritha demonstrates exceptional multitasking abilities and thrives in demanding environments. She excels in prioritizing tasks, working under time constraints, and spearheading social awareness campaigns.
Ms. Ritha has actively participated in numerous leadership skills trainings and workshops on Community and Public Engagement (CPE), earning certificates of participation along the way.
Ms. Ritha worked on various projects, including Non-Pneumatic Ant Shock Garment (NASG), mHealth Strategy to reduce preeclampsia-eclampsia and maternal and infant death in Tanzania, and Enhancing Training and Appropriate Technologies for Mothers and Babies in Africa (ETATMBA). She has worked with those projects between 2013 and 2016 as a research officer, coordinating field activities. Currently, as a Senior Administrative Officer, Ms. Ritha works under the Health System Department, responsible for providing administrative support to the various projects.
