John Wigayi is a seasoned Laboratory Scientist with over two decades of experience in the field of medical and veterinary laboratory sciences. He has been a dedicated employee of Ifakara Health Institute since 1993, contributing to various research and diagnostic projects.

He holds a Certificate in Livestock Laboratory Technology from LITI Temeke obtained in 1991, further advancing his qualifications with an Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from Muhimbili in 2007. Prior to pursuing specialized training in laboratory technology, John served in the National Service at JKT in Buhemba from 1991 until 1992 receiving the National Service Certificate.

John's professional journey commenced at the Veterinary Investigation Centre in Tabora, where he gained practical experience before joining the prestigious Ifakara Health Institute in 1993. Since then, John has been an integral part of the institute's laboratory team, and with his wealth of knowledge and dedication, he continues to play a vital role in promoting health and scientific excellence within the organization.
