Steward Ismail Ng'ala is a dedicated Research Officer committed to advancing scientific research, particularly in the field of mosquito biology and control. His academic journey began at the University of Dar es Salaam, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree, laying the foundation for his career in research and academia.

Steward's professional experience is deeply rooted in his passion for mosquito rearing and the meticulous collection of data crucial for scientific experiments. He has volunteered as a laboratory technician at the Ifakara Health Institute's insectary in Bagamoyo, contributing to the vital task of maintaining mosquito colonies for research purposes. Additionally, he has actively participated in field projects such as the ATSB (attractive targeted sugar bait) Project and the Million Net Project, showcasing his versatility in both laboratory and semi-field environments.

Looking ahead, Steward envisions a long-term commitment to his role, aiming to dedicate at least five years to his work at Ifakara Health Institute. His primary goal is to ensure the smooth progress of experiments by rearing an adequate number of mosquitoes, thereby facilitating groundbreaking research in mosquito-borne diseases and vector control strategies.
