Advancing Immunology and Molecular Biology

Rose Paul Mkubamange is a dedicated Laboratory Scientist with a profound background in Immunology and Molecular Biology. Her journey in the field began with academic excellence, culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Dar es Salaam.

With a solid educational foundation, Rose has seamlessly transitioned into the professional realm, where she has made significant contributions to the advancement of scientific research. Her tenure as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Tanzania Veterinary Laboratory Agency (TVLA) provided her with invaluable experience in understanding infectious diseases and conducting vital research on disease transmission and control.

Currently serving as a Laboratory Scientist at the prestigious Ifakara Health Institute in Bagamoyo, Tanzania, Rose continues to excel in her field. Her role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from performing complex immunological and molecular assays to managing daily laboratory operations. She is instrumental in the implementation of new protocols, tracking project progress, and ensuring adherence to safety and health procedures in the workplace.

A notable milestone in Rose's career is her participation in the VAC078 study, which contributed to the successful development of a malaria vaccine, R21/Matrix, now recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for preventing malaria in high-risk children. This achievement underscores Rose's commitment to impactful research and her dedication to public health initiatives.

Looking to the future, Rose is driven by a passion for Immunology and a desire to contribute to the development of new therapies for Immunological disorders. She aims to pursue further studies in this field, leveraging her expertise to harness the mechanisms of immune cells for therapeutic advancements.

Rose is an active member of the Tanzania Immunology Society, demonstrating her engagement with the scientific community and her commitment to professional development. Currently involved in multiple projects, including VAC080, RAB002, CHILD STUDY, and EBL08, Rose continues to play a pivotal role in cutting-edge research initiatives aimed at addressing pressing health challenges.
