Feisal Hassan is a Quality Officer of the Ifakara Health Institute Laboratory at the Ifakara branch. With over a decade of experience in laboratory operations and quality management, Feisal's expertise includes technical laboratory procedures, quality system implementation, accreditation processes, and staff supervision within healthcare and research settings. 

In his role as Quality Officer since July 2020, Feisal has led the implementation and revising of Quality Management Systems (QMS) at Ifakara Laboratory and supervises staff in QMS implementation. In 2022, he played a pivotal role in enabling Ifakara Laboratory to achieve accreditation by demonstrating compliance with ISO 15189 standards.

Quality Officer and an Auditor in ISO15189 Medical laboratory, implementing ISO 15189 Standard requirements. Laboratory technologist with various activities performing PCR, BLOOD MEAL, BLOOD MEAL PCR and ELISA on mosquitoes. Performing HIV ELISA, Real-Time qPCR, and blood culture and sensitivity.

Prior to this, from July 2020 to June 2022, he worked as a Laboratory Technician performing activities such as PCR, BLOOD MEAL, BLOOD MEAL PCR and ELISA on mosquitoes, HIV ELISA, Real-Time qPCR, and blood culture and sensitivity. He has also been actively involved in different project activities within the Institute, including MTC Project in malaria activities, MZIMA project in HIV and Diabetic activities, SOAR project in HIV diagnosis, RVF project in rift Varley fever (RVF) and (VISHA) activities, Boresha Afya in HIV VIRAL LOAD Activities  

Fiesal holds an Ordinary Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology from Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology, completed in July 2011. He is proficient in implementing and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and aspires to deepen his expertise in QMS while pursuing certification as an expert auditor.
