Clinical Officer under the under the Bimvac01 project

Atwalin works as a clinician at the Ifakara Health Institute, joining the team in August 2023. His journey began in 2013 when he completed elementary school at Naura Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania. He then pursued his secondary education at Bishop High School to earn his secondary education credential.

After completing his secondary education, Atwalin enrolled in the medical school at Lindi College of Health and Allied Sciences, where he obtained a regular diploma as a clinical officer. With experience in various medical-related difficulties, he volunteered at Rutamba Health Center in Lindi Municipal, Tanzania, and Sokoine Regional Referral Hospital in the Lindi region, undertaking diverse responsibilities.

Moreover, Atwalin attended a training program on HIV/AIDS, family planning, and counseling techniques facilitated by the Organization for Tanzania Professional Utilization (OTAPU NGO) and USAID Boresha. The seminar emphasized gender-based violence (GBV) and HIV/AIDS in the Lindi region. Alongside his expertise in data gathering, management, and analysis, he possesses valuable field approach experience.

Currently, Atwalin is employed as a clinician actively involved in evaluating and comparing the Original Wuhan Virus and the Bivalent Omicron Virus under the Bimvac01 project.
