Research Officer driving community engagement

Husna Saidi Hoffu is a dedicated Research Officer based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, specializing in Environmental Health and Epidemiological Surveillance (EHES). With a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work earned in 2015, Husna has since embarked on a journey of impactful research and community engagement.

Her professional experience includes significant involvement in the MHealth and NASG (Nonpneumatic Antishock Garment) Project from 2015 to 2018, followed by her current role in the Rabies Elimination Fellowship. Through her work, she has excelled in community engagement, adeptly coordinating and linking various stakeholders across multiple sectors. Her skills extend to sociology and data collection, crucial for gathering insights and driving evidence-based decision-making.

In her role as an Assistant Research Officer, Husna plays a pivotal role in NASG data collection, management, and analysis. She collaborates closely with diverse stakeholders, including health workers and Livestock Field Officers, contributing to the broader objectives of organizations such as the Global Alliance For Rabies Control (GARC).
