Public Health and Community Engagement Coordinator

Ms. Mohamed is a Mesh Africa Regional Coordinator working under The Global Health Network based at Ifakara Health Institute in Tanzania where she also works as a research division coordinator. She is a graduate of Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Glasgow, UK, and an MBA graduate specializing in Corporate Management from Mzumbe University, Tanzania. She also holds a BBA in Administration from St. Augustine University, Tanzania.

Shekha brings a unique mix of expertise to the Division, and has been blending her health and management education to drive research and administration in public health environments. She is equipped with knowledge and exposure managing projects from UNITAID, USAID & BMGF. Strong communication skills developed from maintaining multi-level relationships within organizations and with external stakeholders.

In her current roles as Mesh Africa Regional Coordinator and Research Division Coordinator, Shekha makes significant contributions to the scientific community, overseeing across three departments, and working alongside department heads to enhance research ecosystems at the institute and also engaging with Africa regional research groups and encourage the sharing and reporting of methods, tools, and resources within this field, building contacts, professional relationships, and knowledge across various settings.
