Driving healthcare excellence through data management expertise

Silas Geofrey Temu, a Data Officer at the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) based in Dar es Salaam, brings over 15 years of experience in information technology (IT), specializing in data management and software development. His technical skill set encompasses MS Access database, MS-SQL, ODK, Python, and Stata for analysis and data cleaning. Currently, Silas is furthering his expertise by pursuing the Google Data Analytics Certificate.

Silas holds an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM), Dar es Salaam. Additionally, he obtained an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education from Meta Secondary School, Mbeya, and an Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education from Same Secondary School, Kilimanjaro.

Silas has held pivotal roles in various projects throughout his career, ranging from managing data for the BimVaC01, COVITEST, and IPTi projects to overseeing initiatives such as the NASG, UAV, and mHealth project. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to endeavors like the Monitoring and Evaluation of the school net program and the Expanded Quality Management Using Information Power (EQUIP) longitudinal survey. His dedication to improving healthcare outcomes through meticulous data management and analysis underscores his invaluable contribution to the field.
