John Gaddiel is a passionate Research Scientist at the Ifakara Health Institute with extensive expertise in program management, particularly in the realm of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). His research focuses on the prevention, management, and policy development for NCDs, including cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. From 2012 to 2018, he coordinated the National Non-Communicable Disease Program, leading efforts in diabetes prevention and management.
John's career includes serving as a research scientist at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC), where he contributed to groundbreaking HIV prevention research targeting high-risk populations. He also worked as a healthcare specialist at the Center for Infection, London, within the Specialty Reference Microbiology Department.
Equipped with a Master of Science degree, John brings a wealth of expertise in program development, implementation, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, health promotion, and education. His innovative problem-solving and dedication make him a valuable asset to the Ifakara Health Institute, where he continues to drive impactful health initiatives.
