Cecilia Francis Waziri is a Senior Administration Officer at the Training Department with a strong academic foundation and a passion for fostering educational growth. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Social Work in Dar es Salaam (2005-2009) and later pursued her Master’s degree in the same field at Mzumbe University, Dar es Salaam Campus (2012-2014). Her educational journey laid a solid groundwork for her career, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to excel in the dynamic field of human resource management.

Since joining Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) in March 2010, Cecilia has progressively advanced her career, showcasing her expertise in various roles. Starting as a Human Resource Officer in the Dar es Salaam office, she swiftly proved her capabilities, which led to her appointment in the Training Unit, where she served from 2012 to 2017. Her leadership skills and dedication earned her the position of Senior Administrative Officer in the Training Department at IHI’s Bagamoyo branch, a role she has held since 2018. In this capacity, she oversees all administrative and HR activities while expertly managing the MSc PHR Program, ensuring its seamless execution and the development of future public health leaders.

Cecilia’s vision for the future is as inspiring as her career path. She dreams of helping IHI establish its own Training Institution or University, offering a wider range of postgraduate programs beyond the MSc PHR. This ambitious goal reflects her commitment to expanding opportunities for professional growth and making a lasting impact on the educational landscape in Tanzania.
